Summertime- Lonely and Ambitious

Hi everyone.

It’s been a while.

I’m doing very well. I’m getting into a good productive groove.

My second biannual recital is this Sunday, and 10 of my students are playing. So excited! They have improved so much.

I’m currently going full out on my YouTube channel and social media involvement. I’m going to be one of the most active and pianists on YouTube which is my plan. It’s a very ambitious plan, but I’ve got it all mapped out.

I’m posting 2 piano covers a week, and also I’m going to start weekly vlogs to document my life as a music student and teacher. Eventually I want to help musicians with their channels, and how they can market themselves online. There’s so many opportunities for music online and I’m beginning to dip my toes into it.

Tomorrow I’m filming 2 piano videos:

Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera

Summertime by George Gershwin

But there is something lacking this summer which is friendship. My social life in Plano is nonexistent, it’s mainly my fault. I’m very reclusive, and I don’t go to social events much. That’s one thing I want to improve this summer. I have to join a running or meditation club or something. I’ve lived here for almost 3 years and I literally know no one in my area… no more excuses. So if anyone knows a good way to make adult friends, let me know!

Thanks for reading!

Elisa
